Reporting to the President, The General Manager will work in conjunction with the Board of Directors to establish the strategic direction of the organization and set the goals and objectives of the company. Main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, implementing strategic and tactical plans, management of all key functional departments, forecasting and management of key financial data, communication to all stakeholders and building a performance based culture. The GM will provide leadership regarding optimal organizational structure, staffing levels and training & development.

• Promote a culture of constant collaboration and accountability between engineering, sales and manufacturing. Define and implement common objectives to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction as well as revenue and goals.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of short term decisions as well as long-range planning, and introduction of new tactics/strategies.
• Assess, manage and motivate all senior management and direct reports with a strong emphasis on planning, implementation, discipline, follow-up, accountability and communication.
• Assess the organizational footprint of the company. Drive decisions to cut costs, create efficiencies, improve quality, and enhance profitability.
• Communicate clearly and directly with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity and accountability. Communicate consistently and often in both group and individual settings.
• Develop a lean, high-performance culture that rewards overachievement and encourages continuous improvements at all levels of the organization.
• Ensure production efficiency, high product quality, and cost-effective management of resources.
• Develop and oversee the annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts and capital expenditures.
Hold departments accountable for achieving or exceeding budgeted results, and allocating capital that reflects the strategic direction of the company.

• Focus on profitability, including but not limited to efficient manufacturing, inventory management, accounts receivables management, accounts payable management, purchasing and disciplined expense management.
• Oversee the financial planning and analysis of the business to identify operating trends and help improve profitable growth, operating efficiencies and cash flow management.
• Develop a sales and marketing plan as well as organizational structure that is aligned with the strategic direction of the business. Apply a disciplined approach to further developing existing customer relationships while also focusing on prospecting, qualifying and establishing revenue opportunities with new customers.
• Oversee the management of the infrastructure and systems to be consistent with the profitability requirements and growth of the company.
• Develop and implement key policies and procedures that improve the company’s business practices and ensure that they are compliant with all legal, safety and regulatory agencies.
• Assist in identifying M&A opportunities. Participate in the due diligence and then provide leadership in integrating the acquired companies

• Proven track record as a GM leading manufacturing companies through organizational changes and significant growth, including increasing revenue
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing operations experience within a mechanical or electrical environment.
• Experience with engineered products or products with varying degrees of complexity.
• Experience leading a high margin solutions based product.
• Experience strategically interfacing with customers and leading sales partners, engineers and manufacturing throughout the product development process.
• Experience managing a multi-location business including international locations.
• Proven track record of driving operational improvements including improving quality, creating efficiencies, increasing bottom-line profits and improving working capital.
• Strategic business development experience with a track record of being highly engaged with the establishment and retention of key customer relationships.
• Experience with Six Sigma and LEAN manufacturing practices.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• BS in Engineering, Operations or related discipline is desired. MS or MBA is a plus.
