Leadership of assigned Quality & Engineering departments. Drive high quality and continuous improvement through comprehensive resource planning, lean manufacturing techniques, and disciplined production processes. Drive low cost producer status while maintaining total customer satisfaction. Work with product development teams to ensure optimal integration of product and production processes.
We are a leading supplier of build-to-print cable assemblies and harnesses serving the Aerospace & Defense. Our firm provides design & documentation; qualification, production and test for turn-key products. We deliver just in time and provide AS9100 & NADCAP certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Improve methods, practices and procedures of Process Improvement, Strategic Planning and Quality Engineering.
Reporting to General Manager the quality manager provides daily Quality support and reports to the President for the Quality Management System.
Provide customer satisfaction and is responsible for performance metrics targets and results
Responsible for document control
Champions LEAN & implements all LEAN activities
Responsible for meeting all applicable State & OSHA requirements.
Participates in plant and supports the safety program, initiatives; and investigations
Provides recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching and counseling; and communication of job expectations.
Provides planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Develops quality assurance plans by conducting risk analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures. Validates quality processes by establishing control plans; documenting evidence; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
Plans for manufacturing plant capacities, participates in production resource & capacity planning
Directs manufacturing team to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction and to achieve the production plan

Coordinates the necessary activities of manufacturing with the Product Management Teams to achieve product excellence at the lowest cost in a timely manner through product/process design collaboration
Participates in the activities and procedures to collaborate the cross-plant improvements of manufacturing methods
Leads cost reduction procedures
Capital equipment and facilities planning
Participates in plant human capital management.
Experience in Connector / Cable Assemblies for Defense and Aerospace Customers; strong knowledge of wire processing, terminating and molding
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) background
AS9100 & NADCAP certification experience
Bachelor Degree and 7 + years Quality management.
Epicor or ERP software experience; Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability meet Quality objectives; providing leadership & training to key personnel
