Position: Global Account Manager / Sr. Technical Sales Engineer
Location: San Jose, California, or S California

A leading designer and manufacturer of high performance multicoax and coaxial assemblies, connectors, and sockets used in the development of next generation semiconductors and electronics systems.
The Technical Sales Engineer interfaces with our external customers and internal product development, marketing, Client Services and engineering teams. Sell and promote products within an assigned territory and defined accounts, either through Manufacturers Reps or direct. Increase penetration at existing accounts focused on identifying new business opportunities as well as find and grow new accounts in the target markets. Key focus: solderless technologies, compression mounts, high frequency, 110 G+, chip/component test and measurement

Promote and sell products with established customers and developing new prospects
Identify all interconnect opportunities/applications of products for clients
Lead technical efforts to work with a customer engineering team to design in new products, solve interconnect problems, and respond to technical inquires
Develop and implement sales plan and growth strategy for territory and customers
Manage Manufacturers Reps as well as direct accounts
Meet and exceed established sales quota and strategic objectives via new design wins and management of the entire sales channel
Motivate existing and potential customers to increase product content on the design
Provide customer service by supplying information related to samples, delivery dates, part drawings and specifications, and responding to any issues/concerns, etc.
Track orders and revenue by customer
Communicate with internal sales and marketing team to provide customer feedback
Keep informed of new products and other general information of interest to customers
Develop a thorough understanding of the market and competition in your territory
Travel required


Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a Business/Marketing technical aptitude
The role will draw on either your electronic engineering background (signal transmission, EMI/EMC, signal integrity) and / or your mechanical engineering background (materials, tolerance analysis, CAD tools).
5 + years + experience in design or applications engineering of electrical components/ interconnect solutions industry
Field sales experience or related experience (inside sales or customer service with interconnect, passive, electromechanical components)
Knowledge of international business practices a plus
Position requires candidate to be a U.S. person
Modeling tools Pro E or Solidworks
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
