FAE - Mechanical Design Engineer IC Sockets
San Jose, CA
· Responsible for the design and validation of products with customer interface
· Work closely with Product Managers and the Engineering GM to research and develop products.
· Provide technical support to the Sales team for inquiries related to products and their applications
Responsibilities
· Mechanical design, modeling, and drafting with 2D/3D CAD -SolidWorks
· · Validate design by simulation and analysis - tolerance, structural FEA, CFD / thermal.
· Validate design by DOE and actual functional testing
· Work with Production, QA, and parts manufacturing to enhance product design by DFM
· Lead failure analysis of production-related issues from a designer perspective
· Conduct First Article Inspection and certification of NPIs
· Support technical communication with customers and the Sales team
· Write technical reports and present them
Knowledge
· BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
· 3+ years in the semiconductor test field or related
· Knowledge in machining, molding, metal stamping, and other related manufacturing processes
· Proficient in SolidWorks, FEA, and CFD analysis
· Proficient in GD&T
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Experience in Test and Burn-in Socket design
