North America Procurement Manager Automotive –
Reports to BU GM. Illinois, Michigan
or Hermosillo, Mexico
Develop, manage, and lead the sourcing team (Automotive) in North America, to identify and develop qualified low-cost suppliers, focus on new supplier sourcing, qualification, price negotiation, and vendor management.
Responsibilities:
- Globally source needed components, request and negotiate price quotes and delivery time, primarily in the North American region.
- Strategize the company’s long-term goals and objectives.
- Achieve yearly cost-down target.
- Monitor the department and company goals for which sourcing has responsibility.
- Coordinate procurement of special materials for special projects and engineering samples for new technology.
- Implement supplier changes, monitor their success or failure, and adjust as needed.
- Familiarize yourself with new technology that would be used in a production manufacturing facility.
- Work with PMC, RD, and QA to improve material supply performance.
- Develop and manage a cost reduction program.
- Manage and bring up the team.
- International traveling.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and above.
- Minimum 10 years of similar working experience in a multi-national manufacturing company.
- Experience in the automotive or 3C electronics industry is a must.
- Familiarity with electronics components is preferred.
- Global supplier development experience is preferred.
- Good initiative in work, self-driven, results-oriented, powerful, and confident.
- Good in communication, negotiation, decision making, networking, and innovation.
- Good in oral and written English.
