Design Engineering Manager – Sonoma County, CA
Interconnect And cable assemblies
Manages and supervises engineering development and product support activities.
Motivates, trains & mentors employees
Responsible for the performance and supervision of design engineering personnel
Works with manufacturing engineering, operations, and quality to provide product/process improvements.
Assign personnel to new projects and establish deadlines.
Develop new products with QMS, based on ISO 9001 & 13485 and 14971
Applies Six Sigma to validate new products and processes
Works with marketing to define new products and manage as R&D roadmap
Establishes budgets for design engineering projects including manpower. Equipment and supplies.
Provides technical support to the Quality assurance department
Qualifications; BS / MS in Mechanical Engineering – 10 plus years in design and supervision of electro-mechanical components design ( connectors and cable)
Experience with EFMEA, Sic Sigma, LEAN, and KT analysis
Advanced skills in Auto CAD inventor
Expertise in the connector and cable harness design, test, and manufacture.
