Position Title: Program Manager – Medical Interconnect – Orange County based
A global supplier of custom interconnect and electric packaging solutions. Provides technical solutions to Medical, automotive, telecom, industrial and consumer electronics suppliers worldwide. The technologies include stamping, molding, plating, and assembly of precision parts. Program Manager :

This position is part of the Global Medical Sales Team that is focused on Supporting the development of Mechatronic Products and Devices primarily for the Medical Industry. The role supports the growth of Medical products and capabilities, including Interconnect, metals, plastics, and devices supporting the NPI process with technical and proposal assistance, developing, new products to meet customer specifications and manage the program through the entire NPI process. The primary function is to support development of new business opportunities focus is on managing the development and manufacture of products with critical mechatronic electrical connections that incorporate and expand on core competencies that include highly sophisticated lead frame stampings insert-molded into complex plastic housings and medical device durables. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with customers and supporting Regional Sales Manager, Business Development, and Engineering. This candidate should also enjoy the development process through a combination of mechanical, electrical and electronic technologies that depend on his/her high degree of development capabilities and experience.
Experience:
This position requires Program management experience in a highly regulated environment such as medical /ISO-13486. Typical market segments would include Surgical including Robotic Surgery, diagnosis and monitoring including Patient Monitoring, Therapeutic and drug delivery. The emphasis of this position will be managing and supporting the development and integration of New Products Development or Integration (NPD / NPI) maintaining timelines, tracking progress, and all associated project costs as well as supporting the creation of internal specifications as well as external customer requirements.


Responsibilities

• Point of contact for all internal partners (engineering, quality, operations, purchasing, accounting) regarding all project activities
• Support Business Development and Engineering with NPD, highlighting open action items and communication with the customer(s)
• Support NPD programs at a site, regional and global level.
• Support Business Development and procurement team in creating RFQ(s) and create purchase requests for equipment and material within NPD. Including CI, Validations, Engineering, Operations (automation, stamping, molding).
• Support Business Development and Engineering on completing and submitting Capital Expenditure Request (CER) for NPD projects
• Verify that Prototype, Feasibility and NPI Sales Orders are entered in SAP, acknowledged and invoice properly according to payment terms on quote.
• Develop, create and solicit approval of initial project budget and management reserves
• Generate CPI and SPI reports
• Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders including sponsor, customers, functional managers, vendors, team members, to ensure project goals are achieved.
• Managing customer relationships within a region and accounts for given NPD projects. Maintaining relationships with all stakeholders, including sponsors, customers, functional managers, vendors, tram players, including weekly meetings, and reporting updated schedule within the NPI Phase.
• Develop customer relationships, developing relationships with the supply chain, commodity teams and engineering to support projects with NPD.
• Create reports and Project timelines / Gant charts to show milestones, and progress of all activities within the NPI process. Following internal procedure including APQP and Phase Gates
• Support Regional Sales Managers and Engineering in meetings and customer discussion on early stages of NPD development creating the URS (User Requirement Specifications) and supporting sales documentation.
• Support in the Qualification of new opportunities and support in the quoting and ordering of NPI material and external processes.
• Create weekly report, with status updates and action items
• Create monthly Sales updates for NPI. Update in new projects and key developments to the Sales Director and Vice President of the Business Unit.
• Travel is required in order to support and maintain new NPD programs at multiple facilities, Customer sites, or vendors
• Provide project Profits and Loss (P&L) monthly report to finance
• Support Business Development, PLM/Costing Engineers on pricing and quoting reviews
• Maintain the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) updating new opportunities and account management.
• Review customer specification and Scope of work for now NPI projects. Liaising with Engineering, Quality and the Business Development and Sales team.

• Promote and drive growth of Company Medical products and capabilities, including Interconnect, metals, plastics, and devices.


Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the Program Management role or position
• PgMP or PMP Certified
• Experience on ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001
• Experience in Microsoft projects or equivalent (Required)
• Ability to read Engineering drawings and 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
• Technical understanding of stamping, drawing and injection molding processes (preferred)
• Experience with GD&T and ERP systems
• Experience with CRM (example Microsoft Dynamics, Sales force, Goldmine)
